CENTRE HISTORY
Affiliated with Little Athletics Queensland, Springwood Little Athletics Centre runs programs for athletes aged 3—17 (Tiny Tots to Under 17).
Our centre was formed in 1982, running its program from the grounds of Springwood State High School. In 1991, Springwood made the move to its current location at Meadowbrook, leasing its facilities from the Logan City Council.
In this time, we have had many athletes participate at our centre and continue to achieve in athletics (including representing their State and Country) as well as in other sports, including the NRL and Rugby 7s.
With oval lighting, Springwood is now able to provide a Friday evening program, especially beneficial over the summer, as well as late afternoon training sessions.
