Well our END OF SEASON Event is right around the corner, being held at Sharks Oval on Sunday 29 March from 2:00 pm.
WHERE: Sharks Oval
DATE: Sunday 29th March
TIME: 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm commencement.
We have a lot of trophies to hand out before athletes are free to enjoy the amusements. You can assist us in getting through them as quickly as possible by ensuring you have arrived and that the athletes are seated in their age groups before 2:00 pm.
WHAT TO WEAR: Centre uniform (Top) is desired for presentations (but being sun smart is important).
We have a few photographers on hand to capture trophy awarding and the afternoon in general. These photos will not be released on the public page but will be uploaded for you to view in the closed Facebook Group:
If you would like to take photos of your athletes and their friends, we will set up the Sharks dais to the side for individual and group photos after they have been awarded.
ALL amusements will not operate until after the main section of the presentations is complete, and will remain open until 6:00 pm.
ALL amusements are for all ages (yes, even the parents, if the game), BUT the Tropical Jungle 5-in-1 castle will be set aside for Tiny Tots, U6S, and U7S only.
The Canteen will open at 1:30 pm, but will close temporarily for the commencement of the award presentation.
Bob Ice Cream will again be at the oval in the afternoon.
Sunday's forecast has improved (at one stage, there was a lot of rain on the cards) with a high of 27 degrees. Although cooler, please ensure you are sun smart (slip, slop, slap, slide and seek). We will have shade shelters set up, BUT these are for athletes to sit in age groups for the presentation.
AGM AND 2026/2027 COMMITTEE
Our AGM will be held in early May. We are currently finalising arrangements and will send the official notice of the AGM shortly. We would love to speak to anyone interested in joining the committee for 2026/2027, and Sunday afternoon is the perfect opportunity.
COACHING
We have introduced a weekly middle and cross-country training session with Coach Judy, which kicked off on Wednesday, 25 March.
The sessions will be held at Sharks Oval on Wednesday at Sharks Oval, kicking off at 5 pm.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes to run in.
What to bring: a towel and a water bottle.
Cost:$5 per session
